Different Types of logo Marks
This is the most common of all the types of logos. The wordmark typically uses the only unique typeface and sometimes the font is customized slightly. In the RedWordTree logo, I have added a tree top shape above the letter 'T', which immediately give people a strong impression of tree. That was enough to set the logo apart, resulting in something that's both practical and elegant. On the other hand, Lettermarks are close to wordmarks. the only real difference is that lettermarks are usually abbreviations.

This kind of icons, symbols, or even illustration make use imagery that conveys a literal or abstract representation of your organization. The approach are less direct than straight text, leaving room for broader interpretation of what the organization represents. In the most left hand side, shows a lovely-looking lady wearing a chef hat, immediately give people an idea that the company is doing food related business.
Combination Marks are graphics with both text and a icon/symbol/illustration that signifies the brand image that you wish to project for your company or organization. Concise text can complement an icon, symbol or illustration, providing supplemental clarity as to what your enterprise is all about.
